Residents are encouraged to attend the County of Maui Office of Recovery’s monthly Lahaina Community Webinar next Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
With the new twice-per-month meeting schedule, there is no meeting tonight, Jan. 15, 2025.
As previously announced, community meetings will be held twice a month starting in January, one in-person and one online. The next in-person meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Lahaina Intermediate School cafeteria.
During the Jan. 22 Lahaina Community Webinar, officials will discuss topics related to Lahaina rebuild efforts, including presentations regarding the Temporary Disposal Site (TDS) Environmental Monitoring 4th Quarterly Report, sewer updates and updates on the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds.
The webinar will also include a question-and-answer session with presenters and panelists representing various departments and agencies, including the County's Office of Recovery, Department of Public Works (4Leaf), Department of Water Supply, Department of Environmental Management and Department of Planning; Federal Emergency Management Agency; U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and Hawaiian Electric.
Pre-submitted questions will be accepted through Sunday, Jan. 19, and attendees will also be able to submit questions during the webinar.
