The County of Maui offers the Maui Nui Strong (www.MauiNuiStrong.com) and Maui Nui First (www.mauinuifirst.com) websites as community resources to connect residents and visitors with local businesses and services. By participating, Business Contributors agree to abide by the terms and conditions below. Should any of these terms conflict with separate agreements or amendments with the County, those agreements shall prevail.
The Maui Nui Strong and Maui Nui First websites aim to provide listings that support a safe, inclusive environment for all users. Accordingly, businesses and services related to political campaigns, legal services, alcohol sales, drugs (including CBD, vaping, smoking products, and pharmaceuticals), gambling, adult entertainment, and any activities or products perceived as high-risk, harmful, or dangerous will not be listed. Additionally, businesses operating without permits or in violation of Maui County regulations are not permitted.
Business Contributors must comply with all current COUNTY OF MAUI PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY RULES and any future amendments.
Some businesses listed may have relocated or may be temporarily or permanently closed due to the August 2023 wildfires or other public health crises, and the County and its representatives make no guarantees regarding their operational status or offers. Users are responsible for independently verifying any promotion. The County disclaims liability for transactions made based on promotions listed on these websites, and users agree to the GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
The County of Maui and its representatives neither endorse nor guarantee the accuracy of any business listing or external content and disclaim liability for damages arising from the use of or reliance on website information.
While updates may be made periodically, the County and its representatives do not guarantee the currency or accuracy of any details provided. Business Contributors are responsible for notifying the County’s Office of Economic Development about any changes. By submitting information, the Business Contributor permits the County to modify content as permitted by law and guarantees that all content complies with relevant federal, state, and county laws and standards.
To the extent allowed by law, Business Contributors agree to indemnify, defend, and hold the County and its representatives harmless from any claims or damages related to their participation in these websites. This obligation remains binding even after termination or discontinuation of website participation.
COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Business Contributors agree to comply with all relevant federal, state, and county laws, including those related to discrimination, proselytization, and lobbying. The County reserves the right to remove any business listing that fails to meet these terms without prior notice.
